We've been building a self sustaining orphanage for the past few years. No government funding or special interests. Just a little orphanage in Northern Uganda, where the Orphaned children of Bugiri are no longer going hungry, even during the drought. Thanks to the generosity of people like you.
Here, childhood is being restored through daily meals, education, and the comfort of a caring community. We believe every child deserves not just to survive, but to thrive—and with your help, we can make that possible.
When you give to a large NGO like UNICEF, much of your donation is lost to overhead. At the UN, only about 12 cents of every dollar actually goes to feed a hungry child. But when you give to the Child Raising Center, you can see the direct impact your gift has. Just $50 can feed all 72 children for two full days in Uganda.
Your gift through this website goes directly to our program. The only fees are bank fees. Teacher is a volunteer and Isaac is the headmaster and manager. Join our email list. And soon we will post a video to explain the different options.(Here's a little video with our kids - (Thank you for your patience)
We don’t receive any government or organizational funding. For the past five years, Dr. Christina Blanchard-Horan and her friends have been working with this orphanage to make sure these children have food, education, and a safe place to grow. Our hope is to find 15 regular donors who can give $50 a month—enough to provide food for every single day of the year.
Whether you can commit monthly or give a one-time gift, every dollar counts and goes directly to the children’s needs. Your generosity means full plates, smiling faces, and a future filled with hope.
